Plexal is a services-oriented workspace, designed for innovators that brings together startups, SMEs, enterprises and academics to create solutions that improve lives. It’s where ideas are tested, developed and turned into scalable businesses.

We worked with Grimshaw Architects to fully design Plexal as a mini city, complete with a central ‘Monument Square’ to foster serendipitous encounters, ‘Plexal Park’ to allow members to work in a fully connected outdoor environment and a high street, connecting private offices with public spaces.

Our challenge was to incorporate functional brand details into every aspect of the space, from colour coded zones and guided access, through to furniture specifications and materials. User experience was at the heart of this process, with many details such as the central lighting feature reflecting the kind of community interactions happening beneath.
